Septic and well systems are expensive to repair.  So if you are purchasing a home make sure to have a well and septic inspection done by a qualified licensed inspector.  With hundreds of inspections done we have developed techniques for us to properly evaluate each system. Many lending companies also require a property to pass a septic and well inspection, which can be provided with us.  Every inspection is performed with Five Star Inspections, LLC. Below is a brief list on what is checked and inspected for the well and septic systems.

Well Inspections

  1. Inspection of well for visible code compliance such as:
    1. Setback distances
    2. Well casing height and condition
    3. Well cap and gasket condition
    4. Well and pump operation
    5. Any health/safety hazards
  2. Collection of water samples and tested in state certified lab. Standard tests include Coliform and e-coli bacteria, Nitrate, and Arsenic

  3. A detailed report which will be sent by mail or email.

Septic Inspections

  1. Inspection of proper operation, condition, and levels of tank and systems
  2. Tanks, Baffles, Filters, Floats, Pumps, Wiring are inspected.
  3. Tank alarms are tested for operation.
  4. Flow and Dose testing of drain-field.
  5. Inspection of sanitary hazards such as:
    1. Surface Discharge
    2. Wastewater backing up into home or tank.
    3. Dye testing will be done if needed.
  6. A detailed report which will be sent by mail or email.
