Below is a brief list on what is checked and inspected for the well and septic systems.
Well Inspections
- Inspection of well for visible code compliance such as:
- Setback distances
- Well casing height and condition
- Well cap and gasket condition
- Well and pump operation
- Any health/safety hazards
- Collection of water samples and tested in state certified lab. Standard tests include Coliform and e-coli bacteria, Nitrate, and Arsenic

Septic Inspections
- Inspection of proper operation, condition, and levels of tank and systems
- Tanks, Baffles, Filters, Floats, Pumps, Wiring are inspected.
- Tank alarms are tested for operation.
- Flow and Dose testing of drain-field.
- Inspection of sanitary hazards such as:
- Surface Discharge
- Wastewater backing up into home or tank.
- Dye testing will be done if needed.
- A detailed report which will be sent by mail or email.
